Peoples Health Trust funding
PATH is pleased to have recieved 23,300 from the Peoples Health Trust to work with residents and organisations in Poplar to create more play friendly neighbourhoods.
The funding will enable PATH to work with local people, hosting fortnightly forums where play opportunities for children are at the fore front of the agenda as well as other issues relating to children and young people locally.
As well as forums a weekly play session started in May on Brabazon Green, Brabazon Street E.14, play sessions are for children over 5 and their families. The space is a great place to play, with a ball court as well as trees good for making hammocks, currently a popular activity.
The project is all about increasing play opportunities for children living in Poplar, PATH will be looking for enthusiastic local people of all ages to attend informal and fun play training as well improving skills on practical courses like Food Hygiene and First Aid.
PATH is really pleased to have recruited an organised, experienced local woman for the Project Suppport Worker role to work with the Play Development Manager hosting forums, planning events and organising training.
